I just finished Robert McKee’s 4-day screenwriting seminar, which was filled with entertaining stories and jokes. He very generously had me up to his suite for lunch to talk about my latest TV pilot script — or rather to tell me why it won’t work. The irony being… I’m only here because that very script won the contest that gave me his course and the trip to LA as a prize.

I’ve moved to a new place for the next ten days, right under the huge HOLLYWOOD sign. It’s rather inspiring to look up at that sign every day.

Today I hear back from Universal about a script they bought from me years ago, and whether or not I can shop it around now that they’re no longer interested. Meanwhile, the manager hunt continues!
